12/29/2023 0 Comments Amnesia scary gamenot tomention the story is bland and boring, with characters being equally bland and boring(the few there actually are). the textures are terrible quality, the lighting is some of the worst ive ever seen, and the "immersion" factor is completely non existant when you notice that in all likelihood, you would never do any of the retarded stuff you have to do in this game, for any reason. On top of that, the game looks like crap. they made the character out to be the mos useless main character ever made. The entire premise of this game is that you cannot defend yourself. or a bladed object to cut said enemy into pieces and run away. your character is aparently so incompotent that he cant even think to pick up a large object to strike the monster in the face with, and run away. you just hide in dark corners and look away from enemies that cant be killed or even hurt. Its not "scary" at all, its full of terrible voice acting, and the entire game revolves around the exact opposite of gameplay. Amnesia: The Bunker is the latest installation in the Amnesia franchise, a first-person horror game set in a desolate WW1 Bunker. ![]() and the story in amnesia is quite a bit better than outlast for sure I am not going to dispaly my opinion on that, to avoid controversy. BUT despite all this I dont think either of these games are the best horror games ever, pretty high up there though. because of this, the sense of fear in amnesia is always present and never lightens up, plus getting chased in amnesia is far scarier in my opinion. amnesia has almost no jumpscares and uses pyschological scares to its advantage, using well placed sound effects and making the monsters alot more dangerous than in outlast. the atmosphere is great and the visuals are very disturbing, but when compared to amnesia, I feel amnesia was more consistantly scary throughout the whole game and never dissapointed me, where in outlast, there were moments where the sense of fear was lost because of using the same formula to escape every enemy, and knowing that most of the scares are achieved through jump scares. Outlast is definitely terrifying and I love the use of the camera. Its a close call but I think I have to go with amnesia.
